Studio 2 Outfit Guide

Studio 2 is a minimal studio that really shines the spotlight on our subject. Hence, it is extremely important to be intentional with your outfits that match the neutral aesthetics of the studio.

General Recommendations

  • Avoid clothing with loud prints / text / graphic / geometric patterns / obvious logos/ jerseys

  • Earth tones are always more fitting in our studio as opposed to neon shades of colors.

  • Avoid bright colours e.g. neon green, pink etc

  • Don’t neglect footwear - sneakers and casual dress shoes are recommended e.g. loafers. Don’t come in crocs, slippers, or worn out sneakers.

  • It is ok for a couple of people (e.g. main figures like grandpa/grandma or birthday boy/girl) to wear stand out colours

Themed Outfits

If you do wish to incorporate more fun and character, dressing up according to a theme can be a great idea too! As studio 2 is a minimal studio, you would not have to purposely be ‘in theme’. Love Christmas so much that you want to do a Christmas outfit shoot even when it is not jingle bells season? Go for it!

A well coordinated outfit really adds a lot to the shoot!

Please do be intentional with the outfit choices you choose. Especially if you are doing a bigger family shoot, when you have everyone’s wardrobe coordinated, the photos will look much more cohesive we promise! Beyond the photo shoot, pre-shoot preparation, and shopping for clothes together is a great date idea with your loved ones! Drop us a DM if you need our two cents worth! (but do note that you will be subjected to our preferences. After all, everyone has got different perspective of what is nice.)
